Office Update

At Coronado Dental Associates, Dr.Villalobos, Dr.Meadows, and the team are thinking about all of our patients’ health and safety, and we send our love and prayers. During this unprecedented time, we have come to appreciate each and every one of you more than ever, and we understand your need to be cared for in the most hygienic way. We have been working diligently under guidance from the CDC, CDA, ADA, and local health officials. We have always kept the highest standard for sterilization, however, there will be a few additional precautionary measures that you may appreciate.

In order to maintain proper Social Distancing Requirements, we will be limiting the number of patients we see at any one time. Consequently, we are implementing the following “check-in” procedures to prevent COVID-19 in our office and ensure safety is maintained for you and our staff:

  • All patients entering our office must wear a facial covering to their appointment
  • Please text or call our office at 619-435-0844 when you arrive in the parking garage (DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE)
  • A team member will instruct you to come up (or someone will meet you at your car if you have pre-arranged this) and we will:

1) Ask recommended COVID-19 related questions

2) Take your temperature with an infrared thermometer

3) Upon office entry, we will ask you to wash your hands (both hand sanitizer and handsfree wash stations are available)

  • You will then be escorted to the office either directly inside from the front door or via the elevator (you and our team members will be the only ones in the elevator, as additional family members or guests will NOT be allowed to maintain social distancing).
  • There may be a waitlist for your recare appointments, as a limited number of appointments can take place daily
  • Additionally, we will be wearing new and improved masks and uniforms, using High Evacuation Suction in all procedures, and placing medical-grade air purifiers in the office.

As many of you know, we have maintained close communication by newsletter, text, phone calls, and the use of Teledentistry.  During this time, more than ever, we have come to appreciate our intimate family practice, and realize how a small office can more easily prepare and protect our patients. Presently, we are limited to a “yellow light” soft opening, which will enable us to see urgent needs only.

We look forward to re-opening June 3rd with full care soon!  Until then, continue to call the office, text, email or use Teledentistry…
